These BLONDIES are a classic fail proof bar that will be sure to please any crowd. They come together quickly in 45 min…broil the top with Coconut Caramel for an extra sweet punch.

THE BLONDIE BAR
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter [softened]
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- *White chocolate chips optional
COCONUT CARAMEL TOPPING-
- 1 1/3 cup unsweetened coconut flakes
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
Instructions
- preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- cream butter and sugar
- add eggs, one at a time
- stir in vanilla
- add dry ingredients
- spread into greased 13×9 pan.
- bake for 25-30 min until top is golden brown.
- COCONUT CARAMEL TOPPING-
- melt butter
- stir in other ingredients
- lather oer the top of blondies when done. {leave in the oven and just open the oven door, pulling out the rack]
- turn oven to broil and WATCH carefully as it bubbles and and the coconut turns golden brown.
- remove and let cool. Cut and watch your party guests swoon.
