How to boil the PERFECT hard boiled egg

Now you can cook that perfectly hard boiled egg WITHOUT that ugly grey strip around the yolk…for any of your hard boiled egg dishes!

This small task is something I have been trying to master because nothing makes me as happy as doing something that SHOULD be simple. Like making a pretty hard boiled egg.

ALSO its a bonus because mastering this task contributes to one’s health. And i’m an advocate for healthy clean eating. So here are a few facts:

  • great source of HIGH quality protein
  • contains all 9 essential amino acids (which are involved in important processes such as tissue growth, energy production, immune function and nutrient absorption.)
  • ZERO carbs and ZERO sugar
  • a single egg contains more than 100 mg of Choline  (It is used to build cell membranes and has a role in producing signaling molecules in the brain, along with various other functions)

Ok so back to the hard boiling. I’ve determined that its actually pretty simple.

STEP #1: Place all the eggs in a pot and cover with water.

STEP #2: Bring to boil…you can also put the lid on so it boils quicker.

STEP #3: Once the water comes to a rolling boil…turn off and leave (or put) the lid on the pot.

STEP #4: Let sit for 12 min with the lid on

STEP #5: Take the pot off the stove and run under cold water until the eggs are cool enough to touch. Now is the time when you can put them in the fridge or enjoy them right then!!

THE BEST TIP I have to offer

remove the shell with a spoon! Look in the video. It makes it so incredibly easy to remove the entire shell very easily
